Today, SONY announced that beginning January 2028, all new games released on Playstation will be digital only, effectively ending physical media for console gaming.
Whether the next generation of console, PS6 will come with options for physical media remain to be seen. For now, we observe a day of silence to mourn the loss of physical media and game collection.
